Early April, main river water temps around Wabasha were in low 50s. Up to mid 50s in some backwaters. Northern Pike and Largemouth bass willing to eat Spinnerbaits, Bladed Jigs & Swim jigs around shallow cover on channel swing banks, wood was a plus. Black & blues seem to be best color, but fish were caught on Fire Craw & bluegill colors as well.

Things are happening on the river. This warm spring has the fish up and ready to eat. Saw my first fish on a bed in April in 64.5 degree water. Normal spring shallow weedy flats with the swim jig was producing. Flip the Rattlin AT jig at any wood or targets you see along the way.
