Windy day on St Clair but we stayed out of it mostly in Anchor Bay. Some fish are still shallow as there were many boats still checking beds. We opted to stay between 6 and 9 FOW with drop shots and coffee tubes. Not many big fish today but as usual on St Clair the numbers are phenomenal.

Finding deep grass patches in 17-22 fow was key to holding bait and bass. There were big schools of perch mixed in the grass and the smallmouth would key in on the edges of the grass. There were also many walleye in these areas following the bait around. Finding multiple grass patches is important because fish will roam and move with the perch.
