Looked for main channel steep banks with rock. Water temps around 76 degrees. Fish were in 20ish feet of water. For weekend fisherman like myself get out there early. Boat traffic was intolerable after 1pm. Deadsticked the drop shot vertically below the boat. Slowly trolled between 15-25 feet. Even picked up a surprise walleye.

Water is lowwwwwwwwww, so be careful when running your boats. Trees that I typically get snagged on are now visible above water. This also means there isn't much current, and is concentrating fish. Easier to troll and get down to the bottom, but a little harder to find em.

Slowly dragging a drop shot over rock shoreline and mouth openings in the river worked best. Pearl white minnow seemed to attract the most amounts of bites, they are a cheap bait as well and will last a long time.

Fishing a off shore rock pile by dragging a football jig over it. Hardest part was not getting snagged in the large gaps but the profile of the jig helped to prevent that. Rock pile was stacked with smallmouth but size was lacking a little.
