Largemouth BassTechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLily PadsThis outing was on May 9th, 2026. Water temps were in the mid to upper 50's with the key being the 58 to 59 that I was able to find. Air temps started at about 50 and rose to about 60. It was very windy out of the NW. Started out on a drop off right outside a spawning bay and caught 3 quick on a chatterbait and jig, but they were smallish. Then tried some calm areas near shore and noticed some cruisers that were very skittish up shallow. I took this cue and tried another shallow area, but one that was an obvious spawning area and caught a few nice ones on a wacky and neko rigged senko, thrown into open pockets around the weeds, these seemed like they were not spawning yet. I then went further into the shallows and started seeing some on obvious nests and they were the nice fish, from the upper 2's to the 4lb range that you wanna catch. Caught a couple quick and then got out of the spawning area. Found another spawning area and they were definitely on nests, not all of the bass, but a good amount were up on nests and very aggressive. Overall a great day!

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationHard to find good vegetation due to the heavy spraying currently on the lake. We found some good grass in 6-8 feet of water. Post spawners we’re feeding on bluegills in the grass.
