Caught the 5lb'er on the Fluke in lilly pads, and the 6lb'er on a yum dinger, under a tree on a bank the went straight down to almost 20'. The 6lber shoud have weighed 7-8lbs. It was 23.5" long, but it was skinny. The video will be out, Wed 21 Aug on Gary's Fish Tails.

Water temperatures were in the high 80s but the the fish were biting. On this day they were pulling water and it didn’t matter what grass line you choose to fish they were eating. My best baits were a chatterbait and a buzzbait both in white.

But flipping in the hydrilla, a creature bait Texas rigged and 1 1/4 ounce jig in on the humps in 15ish ft water can still produce a few bits during the day. Hollow body Frog on the Matts early and late has be 🔥. Water temp this week went down from 83 to 81 with all the rain. Still it’s better than being at work.
