Smallmouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureStumpsBoth small mouth and large are on beds, For small mouth look for shallow bays with short stumps with exposed rootball. Almost every stump will have a bed under it. Sneak up to the spot cause fish are spooky. Make a silent cast passed the stump and slowly drag to the bed then twitch bait until fish bites. For largemouth look for natural banks with lay downs. Tip: use snag less rigs to help prevent snagging wood and forcing you to drive up to strike zone to get bait unhooked.
