TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBouldersCaught a ton skipping under the shallow end of docks. Couldn’t resist a good worm. Really recommend the crossover rings!! None of my worms ripped that day and they will continue to rip more lips.

Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureStumpsBoth small mouth and large are on beds, For small mouth look for shallow bays with short stumps with exposed rootball. Almost every stump will have a bed under it. Sneak up to the spot cause fish are spooky. Make a silent cast passed the stump and slowly drag to the bed then twitch bait until fish bites. For largemouth look for natural banks with lay downs. Tip: use snag less rigs to help prevent snagging wood and forcing you to drive up to strike zone to get bait unhooked.

Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureStanding TimberStruggled to get on an early morning pattern but in the afternoon I would position my boat in 25 feet and throw megabass sv-3 spinnerbait and 6th sense cloud 15 crank bait into 5-10 foot over grass and work it down the grass. I focused on points and flats that had grass and standing timber.

TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSummerStructureReefMost success was running crankbaits over submerged vegetation and near points. However, I did catch one fish on soft plastics in less than a foot of water. I focused on points, submerged grass, laydowns and ledges. It was a 10 fish day but no real good size to the fish. I am still learning this lake and it has some big bass in it. I have yet to put a big one in the net, have lost one good smallmouth. Summer has a lot of boat traffic and that is amplified on weekends or holidays.
