The bass seemed to be set up on drop-offs (postspawn). We could not get them to bite, so we headed to the bank. Once we found healthy vegetation, we found the fish! Pulled out the flipping rod, and within 10 flips, I had 2 bass over 2lbs each.

Also caught some key fish up shallow pitching and fishing around bedding areas. Biggest fish 6.8lbs came off a bed with Missile Baby D Stroyer. I uses the same rod, 7’3H dobyns champion, for both techniques.

Work flukes on top of grass piles let fall in open spots work through cover as a faster alternative to pitching. Areas with shade specifically the most shade are usually the best.
