TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructurePointsMy tournament partner and I fished the lake on 04/30/23 from about 9:00 AM to about 3:00 AM to practice for our upcoming tournament this Saturday. There was a lot of people at the lake when we got there due to a club tournament that was going on, so the fishing was a bit tougher than usually due to the pressure. The weather was nice with outside temperatures in the high 60's and low 70's throughout the day, and a nice Northwest breeze blowing about 8-12 miles per hour throughout the day. The water temperature ranged anywhere from 61-64 degrees on the southeast side of the lake where we were fishing, usually staying around 61. The water visibility was anywhere from 2 feet to 7 feet of visibility, with most areas of the lake being extremely clear as usual. We spent the day throwing drop shots, wacky rigs, and ned rigs along the rock bluff points on the main lake on the Southeast side of the lake, concentrating on points that had the wind blowing either into them or across them. We kept the boat sitting in about 17-20 feet of water, and fished everything from 5-20 feet of water, catching decent numbers of smallmouth and largemouth, with our biggest being a nice 3.81 pound smallmouth my buddy caught (pictured with report) that ended up being his new pb smallmouth by about a quarter pound. We also caught several largemouth in the 2.5-3 pound class, and a few other smaller smallmouths. Overall, the fishing was pretty good and I'm excited to get out there next weekend and try to get a win. Thank you all for reading my reports and tight lines!

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Large)SeasonSummerStructureBouldersThe bite is very slow and the lake is fishing brutal but we had some big bites on a swimbait and also a ten inch power worm in brush. We had one other big bite on a custom jig.

TechniqueCarolina RigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksThe Carolina Rig is more versatile than most people think. It is a good bait to drag around docks and points. Definitely good to throw around dock poles and other structure.
