Targeting rocky rip rap banks. The water is too cold for spawning, but the fiah are definetly moving up. I was slowly dragging the jig along the rocks. The lighter the jig, the better. I was utilizing a BFS setup casting a 1/8 oz jig. Caught probably 20+ bass with most being in the 1lb range, a handful of 2-3lbers and the 5lber in the photo. Was a great fight on the bfs setup!

The fluctuation in temps have caused the fish to become somewhat finicky on the smaller bodies of water. With vegetation still dying off, you can still see some smaller isolated patches of grass that you can still find a bass or 2 in. I was deadsticking the rod as the flow of the water imparted enough action. I also hooked up with a couple bass by trying to target blow ups or the forage busting the water. Slow retrieves all the way around worked better.
