The lake vermilion smallies are biting on shallow boulders and laydowns on 45 degree bank., also the mid depth reefs are holding numbers of fish in that 8-14 foot zone, top waters in low light and ned rigs have been the ticket! Leadcore fishing for walleyes is putting numbers in the boat and jigging or bobber fishing the reefs seems to get more quality bites! Get up here and hit the water! September is bound to be good! #5 Shap raps pulling on leadcore in the mud has been the ticket. Look for windblown shore lines or humps and pull shad raps where the structure turns to mud. Walleye will school up just off the structure.
