On light gear these little guys sure are a great way to spend a sunny afternoon on the water before the regular season. Found them holding tight to hard lilipad root structure on the north end of the lake in 4-8' of water that was floating from the prior year. Casting around with a weighted float allows you to pick apart the north end lake this time a year before the weeds along the shoreline really close off access.
