I would look for schools of bluegills and cast my drop shot into the middle of them. I would let it sink and then dead stick it and wait for a bite. If I didn't get one I would shake the rod or slow drag it so the weight bounced off the rocks. The fish felt like dead weight when they would bite.

Caught most of our fish on the outside weed lines in around 12-15fow. Got a lot of bites on the fall in the morning with good cloud cover but as the sun came out we had to drag along the bottom.
