Where the water was choppy and the bait fish was blowing in, you could throw the chatterbait on the outside edge of the reeds and catch bass. In the more calm, protected bays if you ran the whopper plopper or used the popper across the reeds, there were numerous blowups by good sized males.

5/18/2021: In the evening. A few spawned out females were in super shallow water, over sand, in between the reeds and shore, and over sand/gravel between docks. A few keeper largemouth were also biting on weightless wacky senkos, shallow, at the edges of the reeds. The larger fish last night came sight fishing a jig and craw trailer, giving them plenty of time to react, and only twitching that jig a bit every 20 seconds or so.
