Son woke me up and wanted to hit the bank before school. Turned out to be a great idea. 2 small, plus this nice one. 3 fish and at school by 7:50. MeggaBass PopX was getting the most strikes. Perch. I had a couple swipes at a bone Rebel popper. No hook ups though. Tight lines y’all !

I feel like I’m beating a dead horse here, but submerged grass is a key, from the bank, 6-8 feet of water. No weight, just the senko and a size 3/0

Happy 4th of July ! Got out early this am to beat the crowds. Throwing a Chartreuse with gold blade, 1/16 in-line spinner, on my Okuma SST UL. Hooked 5 fish, only managed to get 2 to the net. But that’s Ultra light fishing. Fish are in submerged vegetation, 6-10 feet of water, slow retrieve. Tight lines y’all !

Throwing a 1/16 Chartreuse/Black spinner with a gold blade, on my 7’6 Okuma SST Light M rod, matched with a KastKing 500 spin reel. Landed this 4.14 largemouth. The fish were in about 6 feet of water. Lots of submerged vegetation, and I was casting and retrieving through the channels. Was also getting small mouth on my Texas rig rod. Throwing 5” senko, weightless 4/0, in perch, and Smallmouth magic colors. Top water they are hitting whopper Ploppers in Loon, and Perch. SFO2023

My usual go-to. Caught in the first cast! Really only good for one fish or two so I packed up after 15 min of casting and called it good. 6’8 M-XF Spinning rod for precision and quick hook setting speed. 12lb braid to 8lb fluoro. Go lighter on braid and fluoro (10lb to 6lb) if you are fishing waters with more visibility and less structure to get snagged on.
