Panfish / BluegillTechniqueIce Fishing JigsSeasonWinterStructureBrush PilesJanuary 27th I went out to Leaser lake to do some ice fishing with my buddy Matt and I. We were going to fish down by the dam but there were already some guys there when we got there. So I went to a deer channel where I have open water fished. In 35 foot of water we found a school of panfish. We caught crappie, bluegill, and perch all day long. We were fishing with small tungsten jigs tipped with wax worms as well as soft plastics. Also caught some using a medium size tungsten jig tipped with a live fathead minnow.
