Fishing around rice edges in the evening produced explosive strikes on the frog. The Live Target frog is heavier than most frogs and makes it really easy to launch it at fish you see move even if they are a long ways away and it walks in place really well

Swim jigs and texas rigged craws were the ticket during a recent leech lake outing. Fish were relating to reed points or any transition between types of vegetation. The most productive areas were where rice and pads or rice and cattails met.
