Omnia Fishing 6-5-4 Episode 4! Another hot summer day with really warm water temps. Water clarity was really low and it looked like they may have just sprayed the weeds in the lake as there was almost zero vegetation in the lake. I had very little success power fishing with a football jig, urchin, swim jig. I got a couple of bites on the 25mm Morningstar but did not manage to get them in the boat. Trey on the other hand had a multi species day catching sunnies, crappie, smallmouth, largemouth, pike, and a giant smallmouth buffalo that had us all hoping it was a giant! Top producing bait for the day was an Arsenal Deadly Nedly jig head inside of a finesse tube (a Dreadly Nedly). He also was able to land some fish with the Arsenal Ballistic Ned.

1/4 pound pike to 8 pound pike pounding the bay entry on jerk baits cast from the entry. deeper water is cooler.

pike are foraging in the inlet bay on craw fish and sunfish early afternoon. look for top water action signs sun down crappies are feeding on surface minnows feeding on insects after sunset the monsters come out to feed on the crappies.
