Smallmouth BassTechniqueTubesSeasonSummerStructureRock PileOmnia Fishing 6-5-4 Episode 4! Another hot summer day with really warm water temps. Water clarity was really low and it looked like they may have just sprayed the weeds in the lake as there was almost zero vegetation in the lake. I had very little success power fishing with a football jig, urchin, swim jig. I got a couple of bites on the 25mm Morningstar but did not manage to get them in the boat. Trey on the other hand had a multi species day catching sunnies, crappie, smallmouth, largemouth, pike, and a giant smallmouth buffalo that had us all hoping it was a giant! Top producing bait for the day was an Arsenal Deadly Nedly jig head inside of a finesse tube (a Dreadly Nedly). He also was able to land some fish with the Arsenal Ballistic Ned.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureLaydownsThis lake has large mouths and smallies. Caught some nice 3 pounders targeting fallen trees. Fish were tucked up tight to cover. We used the lightest weighted wacky hooks and paired it with our favorite stick bait. Weightless wacky rig will do the job as well. You want the rig to fall slowly to generate bites.
