The Alabama Rig paired with the Storm Largo Shad swim bait has triggered more bites than other colors or swim baits i’ve thrown during this time of the year. I’ve been fishing drop offs with major depth changes letting my Alabama Rig run very close to the bottom. It is also very effective paired with forward facing sonar to catch suspended fish. Jerkbait does not need to be paused for long, 2-4 seconds at most. Crankbait worked best when reeled fast and then paused. Burning the bait over the rocks gets the aggressive fish, then the jerkbait did the clean up.
