It didn’t matter if I fished it slow or fast. 7’2 StCroix legend glass rod, Abu Garcia Revo STX with 10 lb Pline tactical fluorocarbon line.

Late fall bass fishing. November2nd. Water temp 49 degrees. Catching bass around submerged vegetation in 6-13 feet of water. 7 foot 3 inch mhf St.Croix legend tournament paired with a Shimano Curado MGL spooled with 20 lb pline copolymer line. Jig had to be fished really slow. Bites were light.

Found a lot of fish in the 5-10 foot range in the weed flats. There was a bluegill spawn going on, so if you could locate the bluegill beds in the weed flats it was like calling shots. They’d smoke a gunfish in the morning but had to switch to a 1/2 jackhammer once the sun came out. I also caught my better ones pitching a D Bomb around the weed edges and bluegill beds.

Good average size and a decent number of largemouth caught going around on the weedlines. I held the boat in about 12’ and made casts at a 45 degree angle into the cabbage/pond weed. Caught some on the initial fall, others right on the weedline.
