Fished for a couple of hours for Crappies. Found fish in 8-11' on hard bottom points. Fish were mostly tight-lipped but was able to pull up about a dozen fish in the 8-10" range.

A great spring Crappie spot from just after ice out tell the end of May is a long the west side of the south point on the lake. Fish from about 10' of water right up to the shore. Put a split shot about a foot above your jig. I like the weighted bobbers, you need less weight and it takes less pressure for the fish to pull them down and they cast easier. Tip your jig with a crappie minnow or a plastic. Start out deep and work your way in. Each day is different on how far out they are.

Look over basin areas of the lake and find soft bottom areas in about 30' of water. I like to tie my mono to the braid giving about 5' of mono and putting the snap swivel on the bait but you can use a barrel swivel to jion the mono to the braid. Jig above them slowly and when you feel them bite give a second before you set the hook. Good Luck

7/4/22 Went out to Long Lake tonight. Fished along the edges of lily pad clumps with a pink spinnerbaits. Caught a lot 1-2 pound bass and a 6.5 pound largemouth bass! Only went out for an hour and a half and caught a dozen fish or so.
