Largemouth BassTechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationHad a fun time today on a new small northern Minnesota Lake that produced some quality fish. Had the best luck casting the 1/2 ounce Feider jig letting it get down to 8-10 feet and bringing it through the vegetation. Switched up between the Xzone Swammer and the Yum Christie craw. Didn’t seem to make a difference what I used. Probably caught 25 fish total today. No giants, but several solid fish in the 16-18 inch range.

Berkley General is always my go to worm and I’ve started using the Mustad Alpha point Apex weedless hooks and they are sticky sharp. Makes for a fantastic combo.

The bite was a little better when the sun came out, but we fished a jig extremely slow the exception of a spinnerbait in the wind blown reeds.
