Attach a large nightcrawler to the floating jig head. And cast it out towards the edge of the channel. Wait for your fish of choice to swim by and grab it. Great set it and forget it rig.

Skipping a black and blue jig around docks on the east side of lower clam produced some good size largemouth. There was also a decent bite along Lily Pad edges with a light Texas rig. Using a swimming mama unpegged around edges of pad clumps caught a few bass as well.
