Started fishing at 8 am and the water temp was 68 degrees. Tried a ned rig with only a few small fish in shallow water 2 to 4 ft. Then tried a couple different square bills without any action. A jerkbait only caught a couple of small fish also. Went to the drop shot for the first time this season and started to catch them. The zoom trick worm was getting the job done. Tried two colors of zoom worms and the green got the most bites. The flat worm did ok but were too costly for fun fishing. Ended the day with a 20 in largemouth that was pushing 5 pounds. Had somewhere around a 13-pound bag, 5 fish limit.
