Fish seemed to be pushing shad up shallow as the lake was 6ft above normal pool. Shad seemed to be schooled in flooded grass and bass were waiting to ambush from shelves and flooded brush piles. I caught several small fish but my lone keeper came on a GY 5" Senko. This lure flat out catches fish so stock up!

Yet another day for us on MTL. 2 catches total and both came on the infamous KVD 1.5. Weather wasn't bad and the lake was just above normal pool.

Fish have definitely moved out to the points. Slow and steady is gonna be the pace from here on out.

Fishing was tough due to a lot of pressure on the lake and the sun was hot! I think most fish have spawned at this point although you may find a few that haven't yet. SLOW was the key but I heard some good fish were caught with crankbaits. After this month, I think the whole lake will be in the Posts pawn phase.

Medium diving cranking with braid to leader you feel absolutely everything and it gets down immediately.

Fish were tight to wood. Fished extremely slow and the bite was consistently light. You really had to watch your line as you couldnt feel most bites. No doubt the spawn will be on! The lake remains a couple feet low so be careful as many trees are now closer to the surface and will grab a prop/lower unit! -Tight lines
