It was HOT on the lake. The water temps have increased around 5 degrees in a week. A majority of fish caught were still pre-spawn. All fish were caught shallow, seemingly cruising the bank. It seemed like it was a timing issue to catch anything. Waiting on one spot for 2 hours just for the fish to come up and be caught was my trick for success. I would expect this same pattern to continue up until the spawn. -TIGHT LINES!

The lake is still COLD and MUDDY. There were some spots a little warmer than others but overall its chilly. A couple pockets had muddy water on top with clearer water underneath. 2 bass were caught shallow on the soft jerkbait working it slowly and 1 was caught rolling a shallow diving crankbait on the bottom. I don't think the bass are anywhere near the spawn at this point
