MTL showed up and showed up BIG! Joe Bass Team Trail tournament had 35 boats and 17 limits were weighed! 3 fish were in the boat before 10 this AM with the first 2 coming on a black buzzbait. Healthy fish were up shallow on gravel banks getting ready for the spawn. Early morning, moving baits worked well with cloud cover overhead. Later in the day, slowing down with the ever deadly 5" Yamamoto Senko snagged several. On top of the 6 keepers caught, at least that many short fish were also caught. By far one of the best days on this lake in a LONG time!

The lake is still COLD and MUDDY. There were some spots a little warmer than others but overall its chilly. A couple pockets had muddy water on top with clearer water underneath. 2 bass were caught shallow on the soft jerkbait working it slowly and 1 was caught rolling a shallow diving crankbait on the bottom. I don't think the bass are anywhere near the spawn at this point
