TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationToday I had a Kayak tournament for SlayNation PA Kayak Series. I have many years of experience on this lake and did the usual. I mixed between a dropshot and a Texas rigged worm. The drop shot is good in the deeper areas with less grass. But a lot of the lake has a large amount of grass. I would just let the wind float me down as I dragged a Texas rigged worm through the grass. Eventually I would find productive areas in the grass where I could catch multiple fish. Nothing huge but the usual 12-15 inch largemouth bass that this lake is FULL of. Great day and cashes a check! You can find the video on Youtube at Jake_Stem_Fishing

TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureRock PileApril 15th 2022 I fished here for only about an hour before the high winds kicked me off the lake. Though in that hour I caught 4 largemouth bass on the Spro little John in spring craw pattern. I was fishing the side of the lake opposite of the boat launches letting the wind push me down the bank. I was fishing in about 6 foot of water where the chunk rock and boulders were about to meet the old grass line. All the bass smashed the crank bait and now I'm in love with crank bait fishing! TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationDuring the summer a lot of the bass in this lake head to the grass to hide. I tent to find them in anywhere from 5-10 foot deep. I throw a Texas Rigged Yum dinger with a quarter ounce woo tungsten weight to get the worm down faster.

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureLily PadsEarly morning or late evening head to the north end of the lake opposite end of the dam and you will find nothing but lily pads. Take a floating frog of your choice and throw it along the edges of lily pads. As well as the pockets or holes in the lily pads. You will be sure to catch largemouth bass as well as chain pickerel!

TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationThe launch b end of the lake is primarily the same out in the middle anywhere from 8-12 foot deep with grass on the bottom. Occasional rocks and stumps but nothing to pattern the bass. Let the wind float you around and aimlissly cast around a ned rig and you will catch largemouth and pickerel. I caught them on both a Rabid Baits craw and Zman trd both on a Rabid Baits Tungsten Ned head.

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureLily PadsI arrived early yesterday morning and the frog bite was on! I went to Launch B at the lake opposite of dam end. There is a ton of grass and lily pads all over. Throwing a white frog was key. Making sure to work the frog very slowly as well helped improve blow ups!

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationSaturday evening I fished the lake for the PA Kayak SlayNation Tournament series event 3pm-10pm. I caught over 15 fish between bass and pickerel. The whole lake opposite end of dam is covered in grass on the bottom. I just drifted around casting randomly in 8-10 foot of water finding fish hidden in the grass bottom. I caught about 5 fish on the net rig and the rest on a Rabid Baits shaker worm in st Lawrence color. Awesome night of fishing I got second place as well as winning a side pot for biggest pickerel 18.50"
