When you find fish in 15-20ft of water before they start to move up while the water is still very cold can be tricky to get them to bite. Utilizing the ned rig is a great way to get that bait to the bottom quickly and is a subtle way to lure these bigger fish to bite a easy snack!

Cold temps and cold water with bass hanging out on the bottom around rocks and drop offs. I noticed on my lowrance active target the bass were not suspended and the jerkbait wasn’t producing like I hoped it would. So I switched it up and tied on one of my favorite jig combos. Dirty Jigs football jig and Xzone adrenaline craw Junior! It worked out well producing some quality bites under some cold and bitter conditions!
