TechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLaydownsThis finesse jig is simply just the best! Combo it with your favorite trailer mine happens to be a ned style trailer. Smaller jig seems to get more fish to commit then some of the bulkier jigs. Give it a shot and see the results for yourself!

TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBouldersFish have started moving up shallow and this wacky rig setup will help get that bait down on the fish quickly. Also allowing the bait to stay in place on the bottom and shake.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBouldersUp here in Maine we have fairly clear lakes with visibility being on average 3-6ft depending on the lake and other variables. When the water is on the clearer end it can be tricky to get bass to commit to the bait. I have noticed the better you match common forage in your area the better your chances in that clearer water. The perch pro color has been very good at getting quality bites so far this spring!

Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinWhen you find fish in 15-20ft of water before they start to move up while the water is still very cold can be tricky to get them to bite. Utilizing the ned rig is a great way to get that bait to the bottom quickly and is a subtle way to lure these bigger fish to bite a easy snack!

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructurePointsWhen the water warms up in mid-late summer days can get tougher slowing down and fishing slow with the drop shot can help produce quality fish.

TechniqueBlade BaitsSeasonWinterStructureBouldersThis combo is deadly throughout the year. However when the water gets cold and you are still willing to get out there and brave the cold temps this bait can absolutely produce quality fish! When bass are feeding up for winter they will crush this bait and swallow it whole! I like fishing a heavier weight let it get down a little deeper and knock it around rocks along the bottom. Often times when it gets hung up on a rock or falls for second is when they will get it! Just bring some hand warmers!
