Smallmouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Popping)SeasonSummerStructureBouldersHad a very tough morning and switched gears once the lake slicked off, and threw a topwater on some deeper flats and had a great afternoon. Bullet pop in black, x-pop in perch color worked great. Had to fish it fairly slow to get bites, but alot of swings and misses if you were fishing it too fast.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueTubesSeasonSummerStructureBouldersIt's a lot of lake to fish. Find boulders and fish hard! Jig and slack line it depending on the wind. More details @reelingwithrigo on Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureRock PileOne of the most memorable days I have had on the water! Absolute honor to fish with the legend, that is Seth Feider! Caught a pile of 4lb+ smallies on multiple techniques but above all was just a blast to share the Vexus with him all day. Great dude, incredible fishery and good time.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueFinesse Hair JigsSeasonSummerStructureBouldersI was throwing a 1/16oz Outkast Tackle Feider Fly Marabou Jig in the 1/16 oz size over some submerged boulders with beds on them in 8-14ft of water. With the hair jig, i would cut around 3/4 of an inch off the maxscent flat worm and apply that little piece of plastic to the hair jig. Later in the day, i had to switch to the brown color in the jig, because of the smallmouth feeding heavier on the mayflies on the surface. The key was reeling the hair as slow as you could possibly reel and keeping the rod tip in the right position depending on the depth of water.
