Fish were pushed into the flooded timber and a Texas rigged D Bomb was the bait of choice. Fishing it on a 7’3 H Victory was key to detect the light bites before they started running with the bait.

Since there was a cold front, the fish had sucked into the old cattails and could be caught pitching texas rigs into wood areas mixed with cattails. They would hit it and immediately start swimming so having a fast reel was crucial. Had 14.68lbs good enough for 4th

Of course another cold front on tourney day. 30 mph n-nw winds and cold made for a tough day. only bites were flipping beavers , able to boat 3 keepers for 9 lbs and change. most boats reported 6-8 bites all day in a true grinder
