Went to Moodus Reservoir on a cloudy day to do some bank fishing along the bridge. Lots of lily pads so I knew there would be fish there. What worked best were Texas rigged 3 inch senkos casting near the lily pads and letting it sink down. There weren’t many fish in the open water so all of my strikes were on the initial drop. I would cast to all the areas you can before moving on to a different section. Lots of submerged vegetation in the area, so prioritize top water and weedless lures. I ended up with 4 Largemouth and 1 Chain Pickerel.

If you see little bluegill around wood it’s just a matter of time. You’re in the right spot.

You can rig with a weedless wacky jig or 3/0-5/0 ewg hook and belly weight with a nail weight to achieve a similar fall but with a wiggle
