Fish are holding on hard bottom here where different vegetation’s mix. My favorite way to catch them is hopping a jig in the grass. Look for wood in the mix too. That will supplement for hard bottom sometimes. These dobyns rods have the backbone to get fish out of cover with enough softness in the tip to absorb any jumps that might occur and keep those fish hooked

These dobyns rods are incredible. I’ve had a few different brands of rods over the years and my first champion 735 is by far my favorite you don’t feel fatigued after a full day of fishing. When I fish these fury’s I know they’ll get the job and same as the champion well balanced and that is all the difference

Underspins are a good way to catch a lot of fish almost anytime of day but especially on calm bright summer mornings when fish are super active and chasing everything that swims by.

With a stick bait I find that a light weedless jig hook or weightless weedless wacky hooks work best. I definitely get snagged less with the lighter weight as you would expect.
