Largemouth BassTechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLily PadsA buddy and I got out for a few hours this morning and managed a dozen or so largemouth, the biggest was 19” (~4lbs), and half a dozen pike. Most fish were in 2-3’ of water where there was sparse vegetation or a transition on vegetation types. The wind was fairly strong today and we saw the most action on the windward side of bogs. We also caught some on spinnerbaits, but nothing on bladed jigs. We were surprised to see the water temps so low with other area lakes significantly warmer.
