I was tossing my megabass swimbait around the shallows in the mornings and the bass were smashing it. They are definitely in that spawn/post spawn funk but some of them are eating very well which surprised me. I even caught a few walleyes on a jerkbait too.

Fish were cruising break lines around emerging grass in 10-15 fow. A slow drop shot presentation was key to getting the bigger post spawn fish to bite.

Smallmouth were located near steep drops. They would ambush when the jerkbait came off flat over the edge.
