TechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonWinterStructureRiver ChannelsFished a benefit tournament over the weekend and finished 2nd place. Most of the fish I found were on the main bluff walls. The RkCrawler was the main approach but don’t count out the back of creeks, flooded buck brush provided some better sized bass flipping a jig and tossing a spinnerbait. The bite is getting really good so get out as soon as possible.

TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonWinterStructureBouldersWhen fishing any highland reservoir this time of year, be sure to find a place where the main river channel pushes against the bank creating a steep bluff wall with a mixture of rocks and boulders. What we found successfully was targeting the 45 to 60 degree angle bluff banks with crankbaits and jigs. The cranks had to have either blue or red mixed in. The jigs worked better at the points of the bluffs by dragging or barely hopping off the bottom paired with a twin tail grub as a trailer.
