Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureDocksFlipping underneath boat motors and next to dock posts, hop the bait of the bottom so it rips through the weeds, half the time the fish would take the bait on the down fall and you could see your line run. Docks with steeper drop offs worked best with medium weed cover.

Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureRock PileThere are a lot of rocky areas in this lake. Look for these areas near points in 8-12 feet of water. The water temp was around 80 degrees and water clarity was poor. Slowly dragging a drop shot worked best on these rock piles. A swim jig picked up a few more bass in the shallow weedy flats (3-6ft deep).

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLily PadsThe bass were thick in the lily pads. We caught them cast after cast. Did not see any on the beds. We would cast out and let the worm soak for a few seconds and a bass would pick it up. We caught many 12-14 inch bass and a few up to 3 pounds. I think there were a lot of fry guarders present. We have been catching some on inside weed edges in sandy areas also using wacky worms and ned rigs. We used 15 lb fluorocarbon for the wacky worms in the pads and 10 lb fluorocarbon for the ned rigs.
