I went on an outing with family members & fished primarily Barnett’s Creek. We fished for about an hour before a thunderstorm moved in a couple of hours ahead of the forecast & cut our trip short! In that length of time, we caught 4 bass & a yellow perch, and had several other bites! The bait that drew the most attention was the Zoom Super Fluke Jr. w/the tail dipped in garlic scented chartreuse Spike-it, rigged on a 1/8 oz. Jighead. One of the bass was caught on a betts spinner rigged with a crappie magnet (butla gold) The yellow perch was caught on an Arkie Crappie Crankbait (2-6 ft. Diver). We were off to a good start, a couple of the larger bass must have come in at least at a pound & a half or more!

Fishing out of Barnett’s Creek on a day when the bite was tough. I changed baits often & covered a lot of water. It was not until a put I rigged up a a Mr. Crappie Joker that the fish began to bite. I rigged the plastic on a 1/32 oz. jighead & betts spinner. I had to fish it slow, but the crappie & white perch would hit it hard!
