The water fairly low and fish were sitting on current breaks with boulders. Swinging the bed rigs down and across the river was key. You needed to high stick the baits so they wouldn’t get hung up in the rocks.

Launched on the Oconto River by the opening to the bay. I went a few miles up river with zero success. Only caught fish dragging a chatterbait minimax getting it caught on rocks and then busting it free. This netted me 2 small Smallmouths. I did catch a nice 17.75 inch smallmouth off a laydown right before leaving by the launch on a swim jig.
