These fish are all spawn up on hard bottom and lay downs. Cover a lot of water to find the bigger fish on beds and use this Texas rig to catch them quicker and more efficiently (more fun too). They are seeing a lot of dropshots and Ned’s and can become tough even for smallies on beds but they could not stand the Berkley Crash Craw.

Bass were pulled up around beds, and the females were very agressive defending their fry, they absolutely Hammered a simple weightless senko. Flipped every dock and caught a lot of post spawn fish (if fishing during spawn times, be sure to handle fish gently, and release ASAP in the area you caught them at so they can return to their beds)

They're pretty shallow and scattered all over. Slow retrieve with the mag in rocky areas it's hard not to get hit.

Pretty decent day smallies were spread out amongst different types of structure, about 14 - 15ft

Pretty straightforward. Fish were hitting this on a slow-roll. Caught a few roamers but the majority were in weeds that were still present from last year(sparse). Fish were shallow too. All were caught in 5 feet or less.
