After a few different bait choices, the LC 1.5 Ghost minnow proved to be what the fish wanted. Surprisingly the fish were not under the shade of the multiple laydowns but more in the main part of the lake and along rip rap banks. Despite no wind, the LC 1.5 caught the majority of the bass. Also managed one on a Core Tackle Swim Jig in their blue gill color with a reaction innovation little dipper in sprayed grass for a trailer. Also managed one bass on a Zoom Super Fluke in Smokin Shad

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLaydownsWhat a great day on one of my favorite NW Ohio lakes, Oxbow Lake. Started out throwing the Core Tackle 1/8 oz Ozark rig with a green pumpkin Strike King Rage Craw around and under laydowns. It didn't take long to land the first bass. When there was too much cotton from the cotton wood trees to throw the baitcaster I switched to a whacky rigged, Z-Man ZinkerZ in green pumpkin or Junebug. This set up also netted it's fare share of bass. When I got to a section of the lake with rip rap banks I threw the Strike King KVD 1.0 Square Bill in Natural Bream. This netted quite a few bass and the largest by average for the day. A storm came through and after loading up the kayak I gave a try from the bank throwing the Strike King KVD Splash Topwater Bone / 3". I was amazed and thrilled that this quickly was catching fish and over the next hour I caught 15 total, and 10 all over 12 inches the biggest being 16 inches.
