TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationIt was a hot day about 90 degrees with a slight breeze and it had just stormed. This body of water is pretty stained and is very weedy. I decided I want something that would give off some movement and vibration but because of the thick amount of grass I couldn't use anything that would dive deep or it would just get hung up in the weeds. I tied on a rapala Bx Brat in delta and ran it down the bank a few times and finally got a bite.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureOpen Water/BasinIt was a sunny clear day on the water and this body of water I don't have much luck on. So I decided to try something I never tried before, and since the water is murky with low visibility, I tied on a zoom bubble gum trick worm to kind of stand out. I was using it like a floating worm over submerged vegetation and letting it sink weightless. Finally hooked up and pulled a decent largie out.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureFlooded BrushIt was a warm day with a little breeze and stained water with a ton of vegetation. This lake is full of weeds and brush piles, so anything with a treble hook is very hard to fish. I wanted something moving, so I tied on a screw lock hook and rigged the mayor weedless. I was working it over the tops of vegetation and along the edge of some brush, and that's where I got the bite.

I was running the mayor swimbait in chartreuse pearl so that it stood out against the dirty water and was working it in between and over vegetation and letting it fall in the holes between the weeds and finally got a bite.

TechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonWinterStructureOpen Water/BasinIt was a warmer day around 55 degrees and was sunny and calm on the water. I started out with a juggle minnow and didn't get anything, so I switched to a dt 8 and started burning it shallow over open flats and finally got a bite.
