The biggest fish came on the spinnerbait and the Slobberknocker caught nice fish also. The fish were in 4ft of water or less in the upcoming Lilly pads. You could catch smaller fish under docks on a jig.

The lake has been treated so many times this summer that grass/foliage is nearly non-existent and it's hard to find any fish. The docks/shade produced numbers, but not many keepers. Spinnerbaits got a lot of bites.

Skipping weightless Texas rigged wack worms under docks in 3-5’ of water close to main lake drop offs.

Caught are fish dragging tubes in 12’ of water and managed 4th place to open the year. Also caught some shallow on Wacky rigs

Hit the water around 5:00 and started fishing at 5:30. The smoke from the fires in Canada made the conditions significantly overcast. There was about consistent 9mph wind from the NE when we hit the water as well. Started off throwing a Rat-L-Trap with no bites and a LOT of grass. Decided to switch to the new Shallow Megabass 110 and got a keeper on the second bite. We kept on heading down the same grassline and I put another one in the boat a few minutes later. We were still moving pretty fast at this point and we rounded a bit of a corner and didn't have any hits for 30-40 minutes so we went back to where we started and ran the same stretch again putting two more in the boat with the same jerkbait. My co-angler put my spare 110sr on and put some in the boat as well with it. We kept on hitting the same 250yards of grassline over and over again, picking up bass every run. As the sun went down I picked up two more on the PopMax as well, one really nice smallie. We ended up culling about 5 times during the night and were throwing 2's back by the end of the night. We ended up winning with 12.85lbs with a 3.5lb being our largest, big bass was a 4.5lb smallie if I heard correctly.
