The fish are in a post spawn pattern and suspended off of points or around the bridge pilings in Rock Creek. The best technique I found was just casting and letting the worm fall on a slack line while falling through the strike zone. I paired the worm with an 1/8 oz. Round head jig. I also caught a couple nice smallmouth using a red shad Mann’s auger tail worm which I’m not sure are still in production.

The fish were set up late in the day at the backs of the marina coves. I was slow dragging and slightly shaking the bait. The best 5 I estimate to weigh around 14 to 15 lbs

Perry is tough right now and the water was high but I found some largemouths in the grass shallow
