We went out for my high school regional championship with neko and wacky rigs, we used junebug but they werent on the app, but we slammed em. Caught maybe 30 fish came out with a 11.12lb bag to take 6th and qualify to sectionals. I caught the big fish of 3.34 lbs

Used as a follow up if a blow up is missed on topwater frog, also used to pitch into heavy cover, lay downs, matted lily pads.

Working across lily pad mats in the back of the channels of Pistakee. Walking it across the pads with intermittent pauses once it hits a gap of open water. In about 15 minutes had 2 blows ups bank fishing.

I caught every keeper besides one on a spinnerbait. Biggest bass was 5.17 lbs for my PB! Any and all cover was the focus. We also caught one on a lipless and a couple on the Chatterbait.

We targeted docks and submerged weedbeds mainly. I was able to pick one up on a Rat-L-Trap early on ripping out of grass. The better fish were on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. The fish are really sensitive to the weather changes and switch patterns every other day it seems like.

The nicer one came on a dragging Ned rig on the pause. They were very lethargic. The smaller one came on a lipless crank ripping out of the grass.

Pistakee and the chain can be difficult fishing during the summer months. they water is stained, warm, and can be really high or really low. I have always had the best of luck with chatterbaits or any bait that makes some vibration or noise. Chartreuse in color is always my go to pick in stained water. i think the combo really gives the bass something to attack or get moving.
