Muskie
TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationThe bass fishing bite was a bit slow. Was able to catch a few close to main lake points. Started fishing a grass flat when a Muskie hammered my swim jig. Not what I was going for but that got the heart pumping!

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureStanding TimberWas able to find some bass holding in submerged timber offshore. First time using the Yamatanuki and I was impressed. It was getting fish to bite when other techniques were not.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSummerStructureRock PileWater temps ranged from 72-79 depending on where I was on the lake. Air temp was 85, fished from noon-4pm. Fish were relating to rockpiles in 5-10 ft of water. Wind was out of the SW, 8-12 mph. Caught all bass on a VMC Tokyo rig with 5/0 worm hook, and 2 Swagger tungsten 1/4oz weights. I like using the 2 weights on the Tokyo rig so when you drag it & it hits something, the 2 weights clack together & makes a good sound. Setup I used was a Daiwa CC80 casting reel with 15lb Sunline Assassin on a 7'2" MH Shimano Intenza rod.

TechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSummerStructureFlooded BrushWe we’re fishing from the shore and I was using a Neko rig. I cast it out to the flooded brush/brush piles and let it sink, watching my line on the way down in case a fish took it on the fall. I then hopped it and repeated the process. I caught two bass, one of which was a really decent 3 lb. 8 oz.!! I hope this helps!!

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureRip RapWater temps ranged from 72-77, had a 10 mph south wind throughout the day. Fish were on riprap in 2-5' of water. Caught all fish with a Owner Flashy Swimmer (1/8 oz, silver willow blade) with a 3.5" Yamamoto Swim Senko in Chartreuse/White. Nothing huge on the bass side, all were about 3/4 lbers, got a nice bonus walleye that was about 16".

TechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBouldersI was using a Neko rig, from the shore, in the shallows and caught a bass! My retrieve was casting it out, letting it sink, giving it some hops, and then letting it sink again. I was fishing an area with some big rocks, and some logs/sticks. Using a weedless Neko hook would be a good idea around the logs and sticks.

Walleye
TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureReedsWhere we had the best luck was in a windblown cove. The shad were getting pushed into the back and the walleye were about 10' from shore in about 5' of water. The best lure we found was a soft plastic swimbait in a shad color.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLaydownsWe were fishing in a shallow/mid depth cove, from the bank. The area we were fishing had rock and some brush/laydowns. The conditions were windy and overcast. When I cast the lure, I let it sink slightly, and then did a straight retrieve at a slow to medium speed. I lost one bass and caught one bass.
