We were fishing Neko Rigs in shallower water, from the bank. To work the Neko Rig, I cast it out, let it sink, give it a couple of hops, let it sink, and repeat.

Water temps ranged from 72-79 depending on where I was on the lake. Air temp was 85, fished from noon-4pm. Fish were relating to rockpiles in 5-10 ft of water. Wind was out of the SW, 8-12 mph. Caught all bass on a VMC Tokyo rig with 5/0 worm hook, and 2 Swagger tungsten 1/4oz weights. I like using the 2 weights on the Tokyo rig so when you drag it & it hits something, the 2 weights clack together & makes a good sound. Setup I used was a Daiwa CC80 casting reel with 15lb Sunline Assassin on a 7'2" MH Shimano Intenza rod.
