Where we had the best luck was in a windblown cove. The shad were getting pushed into the back and the walleye were about 10' from shore in about 5' of water. The best lure we found was a soft plastic swimbait in a shad color.

I was using a Neko rig, from the shore, in the shallows and caught a bass! My retrieve was casting it out, letting it sink, giving it some hops, and then letting it sink again. I was fishing an area with some big rocks, and some logs/sticks. Using a weedless Neko hook would be a good idea around the logs and sticks.
