Though out-of-season fish were unfortunately biting as well, the white bass attacked near dusk on the 2nd ledge of the river, between 8’-14’ where the main current met back eddys. Try throwing a size 9 to size 13 shallow jerkbait with a straight retrieve.

Here's the deal, caught severval smallmouth in the late summer to early fall using a 1/2 oz outkast stealth feider in feider craw paired with a Yum Craw Chunk 3.75 in Ultimate Craw. Rod was a standard MH/F with 17lb flouro and a 6:3 Zillion SV.

As the water has continued to cool the fish have begun feeding on slower moving baits. The finesse jig has done great this week, catching me good numbers. Slowly dragging the jig through the rock has generated the most bites. Bites were also common as I crawled the jig up and over the backside of boulders. For colors stay natural, green pumpkin, PB&J, and browns have all worked. Good luck!

The smallmouth in Minneapolis have really been feeding on small minnows near shore. They are grouped up in school and when you find one, there ill be more. The vision 110 jr works well because it is a little smaller than the regular 110. The minnows that the smallmouth are eating aren't very big and the smallmouth themselves for the most part aren't very huge either, but there are a lot of them. This one was the biggest one I've caught at around 3 lbs. There is a video of the action on my youtube channel that is connected to the page. Goodluck!

Troll or hand jig a ned rig just where visibility of the bottom ends. Moving current was better than slow water. Purple or orange were both productive. Caught a few bass on other things, mainly a swimbait, but the ned rig was THE producer.
