I caught a decent amount of small mouth focusing on current breaks just off the main river, depth didn't seem to play too much of a factor. If you were able to find good current breaks that had shad present, walking a spook in the slack part of the break was a good way to get bites. I would also rotate in a shad colored jerkbait and a ned rig when they were not committing to spook after catching a few.

Throwing a jig along any rock or sand you find along with a variety of other crawfish mimicking baits will surely find you some decent fish as long as you keep casting.
